       "When I saw the three girls who wear eerily beautiful clothes on Dolce & Gabbana SS08 ad, I just want to cry."

 

The little gloomy background is an old factroy, with several colourful paintings and a big round miror standing on the back. The super modles (Gemma Ward, Lily Donaldson and Jessica Stam) who look like angels with smoky sexy eyes are wearing the clothes which were patinted with white and pink oil flowers or firework scribbles on the georgette fabric. When wearing petticoat night dresses, they really look like beautiful stylish peacocks. It seems like oil painting, right? There's art everwhere. Their inspiration comes from a video about a young artist who was painting on the fabric and Gramercy Park Hotel,  which represents a sensuous vision of artful diversity with bohimia style by America designer Julian Schnabel. The SS08 collection mixes fabulous mordern chic style with 50's romance.

It reminds me of Qiong-er's scarf design in 2005 (At that time, I interviewed her and wrote an aritle for Harper's Bazaar). She designs by extemporarily painting on the silk fabric, which looks like firework in vivid colours. I think it's more than a scarf, which could be used as a belt or a painting.
